MY NAME IS CHRISTINA & THIS IS MY BRAND.
I AM A MAKEUP ARTIST, ESTHETICIAN &
PRODUCT DEVELOPER.
I LOVE THE CONCEPT OF CREATING LUXURIOUS,
ALL NATURAL BEAUTY PRODUCTS & SHARING MY CREATIONS WITH OTHERS.
ALL WHILE BUILDING A TRIBE OF EMPOWERED, CONFIDENT & EDUCATED WOMEN.
GROWING UP MY FAMILY AFFECTIONATELY CALLED ME KOUKLA.
WHICH MEANS DOLL IN GREEK.
BEING BEAUTIFUL BOTH PHYSICALLY &
THROUGH YOUR PERSONALITY.
IT MADE ME FEEL SO SPECIAL AND SEEN.
YEARS LATER, I NAMED MY COMPANY KOUKLA.
IN LINE WITH MY MISSION:
TO MAKE WOMEN FEEL BEAUTIFUL & CONFIDENT.
When I was 19 years old living in Greece in my families hometown,
I survived a life threatening health scare. Guillain-Barré syndrome.
It had left me quadriplegic with my doctors telling us I'd never be
able to walk again or gain full mobility in my hands.
While I was fighting through recovery,
I was doing my makeup every day as a form of physical therapy.
I sat in front of the mirror struggling to hold the brushes & practiced the most agonizing patience while I applied my makeup every day.
Dedicating myself to this routine gave me so much confidence.
It inspired me to learn how to create my own products.
Free from harsh chemicals that make us sick or cause irritations to our skin.
I was afraid I would never be able to use my hands again or walk on my own. The thought of never being able to do makeup on clients anymore devastated me.
From this, the idea of KOUKLA COSMETICS was born.
I figured if I personally can't apply makeup on others anymore I will create beautiful products that women can purchase to apply on themselves.
Formulating products, creating recipes,
testing out the samples on myself & friends was the best therapy.
I gained my mobility back & it's been my mission ever since to share my creations & story with all of you.
To inspire, give hope, share a laugh, and promote self love & confidence.
